The Microsoft Platform

  • Windows server and Internet Information Services (IIS) - provide the most dependable, productive, connected, and integrated Web server solution with fault tolerance, request queuing, application health monitoring, automatic application recycling, caching, and more. .
  • XML Web Services and Microsoft .NET - deeply integrated into Microsoft server platforms. They enable an unprecedented level of software integration using XML Web services: discrete, building-block applications that connect to each other via your Intranet or the Internet.
  • ASP.Net and AJAX - technology for creating dynamic Web applications. Part of the .NET Framework, ASP.NET provides a programming model and infrastructure to make creating scalable, secure and stable applications faster and easier. AJAX allows 4Front to create highly interactive Web interfaces for maximum productivity.
  • Clustering - Windows Server provides integrated clustering services and technologies to deliver higher levels of service and availability. The Windows Server family can provide this through the Cluster service or Network Load Balancing.
